THE ACTIVITIES:
1) Hear for U Charity Run (7.30am-10.00am)
Help provide free hearing aids to people with hearing loss by running loops around Tasik Titiwangsa.
2) Hearing Screening (9.00am-3.00pm)
Care about your hearing? Let us check your hearing for you. Free consultation and tips to care your hearing will also be provided.
3) Dangerous Decibels Show (10.30am, 12.00pm, 2.00pm)
A 40 minutes long presentation that uses the principals of inquiry-based learning to teach the concepts of noise-induced hearing loss prevention. Students discover just how important it can be to “Turn it Down!”, “Walk Away” and how to “Protect Ears”. With the help of scientific tools, students learn about decibels, explore sounds and the way it travels, and how they can protect their hearing for years to come! Space are limited to 30 per session, place can be secured for your child by calling us at 03 2698 5040/5041 (speak to Pn Hanim/Pn Azlina).
4) Clinic Tour (9.30am-3.00pm)
Have a tour of our audiology clinic and learn about the services provided by audiologist and the UKM audiology program. You will get to also experience our sound treated room where hearing assessments are carried out. School students are welcome!
5) Educational Game (10.00am-3.00pm)
Fun games that challenge your child’s listening skills and where they can learn about hearing care and hearing loss in a fun way. Activities include colouring contest, musical chair and a game of ‘Simon says’.
6) Educational Exhibition (8.00am-3.00pm)
Learn about the ear & hearing, hearing loss, hearing amplification and communication strategies from our posters exhibitions and equipment demonstrations.
7) Open booth by Jabatan Kebajikan Masyarakat (10.00 am – 3.00 pm)
JKM representative is happy to answer questions and provide information about how to register with the department if you have hearing loss, the benefit of registering and other questions that you may have.
8) Sale of food and drinks ((8.00am-3.00pm)
Feed your appetite and quench your thirst after your morning run at the various food stalls open inside the UKM college compound.

Thanks for the update. I know how important our ears are for us and a quality pair of ear plugs can help us a lot to protect out ears for noise pollution.
